Cancer Debates

2 min read
I just had a debate over text with one of my friends about causes of cancer. It started off with my discovery that you can make scrambled eggs in the microwave, then she went on to say that she doesn't like cooking in the microwave. I only wanted to know why, but her reasoning was that it's not healthy to cook in the microwave, because of the whole radiation thing, which is a bunch of bullshit. Radiation produces heat, and the stove produces heat, so is it not healthy to cook on the stove either? Anyway, she stated her opinions, backed up by "you can't trust big companies" and was like, "oh, so I can't trust cancer researchers?". Then it turned to how the richer countries get more cancer than under developing countries, but honestly, those countries also suffer from many diseases, some even deadlier than cancer.
Point is, my opinions were backed up by facts, where as hers weren't. Actually, the main point is that every year or every few years, people "discover" new things that can "cause" cancer; the new culprit being meat, and in a few years it'll be something else. It is only a tactic to make people scared, and it works, sadly.
The thing is though, is that if you give in to all these fads, or whatever they're called, you'll be living your life in complete fear, and not actually living your life. I mean, the suns rays can "cause" cancer, but people still go outside every day without a second thought, right? Next thing you know, we'll be walking around in hazmat suits and eating space food.
Her last text was, and I quote: "I don't care if you wanna cook with the microwave I didn't say you couldn't you ask me why I wouldn't I don't know why you're so offended."
So who do you think won the debate, and what's your take on it?

I'm sorry I haven't been doing the 30 day drawing challenge like planned. I've been really busy and I'm trying to organize my time so that I can work on everything I have planned for the day at least a little bit.

Right now I'm working on organizing my social medias in a way that I can post quickly and efficiently. Then I'll be able to interact more on them instead of stressing out to post something every day.

After that, I need to be able to work on my self given projects and my assigned projects a little bit everyday. So much to do, in so little time, I'm going absolutely crazy with all of this.

Also, does anyone know how to manage a sleep schedule to get the most out of their day?

Hey guys!
I need some help! I haven't been drawing lately, cause I can't, for the life of me, think of anything, or find the motivation to draw. Waaaah!

To fix this I thought that maybe if I do a 30 day drawing challenge, that I might be able to get back in the swing of drawing more complexe things. Clap

My problem though, is that I can't find any good lists of the challenge. I just want simple things, things I can draw between 5-15 minutes, so more like doodles.

If anyone can come up with a list, please comment it down below! I would really appreciate it!

OMG! I can't contain my excitement!

I'm still having those attacks from time to time. Of course, they mostly happen during the night, making it really hard to fall asleep. Last night I spent the night at my friend's apartment, and I had no attacks. It could be because I never experienced the alarm while I was there, or because I wasn't alone. It could also be both.
Tomorrow, or today, the fire department will be testing the fire safety equipment from 8:30am to 5:00pm, so guess who's going to be outside during that time? Yup, me. I'm not excited. But it does give me a reason to do some grocery shopping and look around Hot Topic for a while.

Thank you insomnia, for making it really hard to fall asleep. Sleep is the only thing I need right now, and it's the only thing you're not letting me have.
